This year's awards, also knowns as the 77th annual Primetime Emmy Awards, will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025 and be broadcast live from Downtown LA's Peacock Theater. The ceremony will be hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze and will honor the best in television from June 1, 2024 to May 31, 2025.
The 2025 Emmy noms were announced during a live stream on Tuesday, July 15, revealed by Running Point actress Brenda Song and What We Do In the Shadows and Companion star Harvey Guillén. Among the multi-nominated titles are hit shows like Severance, The Penguin, The Studio, Abbott Elementary, The White Lotus, The Last of Us, Andor, The Bear, and Adolescence, and The Pitt.
Per VegasInsider.com, there are quite a few records that could be broken tonight. Bella Ramsey could become the youngest winner to ever take home the prize in the Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series category, breaking Zendaya's current record — Z was 24, Ramsey is 21 — and could also make history as the first non-binary actor to win in any leading acting category.
VegasInsider.com also reports that Severance stars Tramell Tillman and Zach Cherry are both in the running to become the first Black actor to ever win in their nominated category, Outstanding Supporting Actor In a Drama Series; and Ayo Edebiri could win big for double duty and become the first-ever Black woman to win for both directing and acting in the same year for The Bear.
Leading the pack at this year's Emmys is Severance, with a whopping 27 nominations. Close behind are The Penguin with 24 nominations, and The Studio and The White Lotus tied for third place with 23 each. Keep scrolling to see the full list of Emmy nominations 2025 below!
