Winner, winner! The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards are in the books, and this year's winners list is nothing short of historic. Want to know who your Emmys 2024 winners are? Keep scrolling to see the complete list of victors in every Emmy category.
This year's Emmy Awards — which were the second in one year due to the strikes-postponed 2023 ceremony that aired in January — honored the best in TV from June 1, 2023 to May 31, 2024. The show was broadcast live from Downtown LA's Peacock Theater, and was hosted by father-son duo and Schitt's Creek stars Eugene Levy and Dan Levy.
Beloved series like Abbott Elementary and The Bear picked up multiple nominations, as expected, but it was Shōgun that wore the crown of most-nominated and most-awarded series at this year's ceremony, with a total of 25 nominations and 18 wins. The Bear was close behind with 23 noms and 11 total wins.
Shōgun's Anna Sawai became the first actress of Asian descent to ever win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series; and Sawai's Shōgun costar Hiroyuki Sanada became the first Japanese actor to win Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Sanada is the second actor of Asian descent to take home the award, the first being Squid Game's Lee Jung-jae in 2022.
Liza Colón-Zayas, who plays the fan-favorite character Tina on The Bear, made history as the first Latina actor to win Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Colón-Zayas admitted onstage that she didn't prepare a speech because she didn't think she would win in such a stacked category, but ended up deliering one of the most heartfelt speeches of the evening. “Thank you for giving me a new life with this show,” she concluded. “And to all the Latinas who are looking at me, keep believing and vote. Vote for your rights.”
There were over 30 first-time nominees at this year's Emmys, including The Bear star Lionel Boyce, Lily Gladstone, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Wicked and Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey, Dakota Fanning, and many more.
