Calvin Klein is back with another celebrity campaign, and it's none other than K-pop girl group NewJeans this time. All five members — Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein — star in the brand’s newest fall 2024 campaign, and Teen Vogue has an exclusive first look at the video.
For their first-ever Calvin Klein shoot, the NewJeans members modeled pieces from the Fall 2024 collection. They wore an assortment of classic CK logo tees, jeans, denim jackets, leather coats, button-up shirts, hoodies, hats, and more.
In the video shot by Gordon Von Steiner and styled by Emilie Kareh, NewJeans show off both their modeling skills and a bit of their dance expertise, set to power anthem and lit with colorful backgrounds, including the members’ signature shades.
"We are so excited to be starring in a Calvin Klein campaign,” NewJeans said in a press release. “It was a natural fit to partner with a brand rooted in confidence and with their team on a campaign that brought our personalities into focus, all while having fun wearing the latest seasonal styles.” The brand added that “NewJeans brings their fresh, youthful energy to iconic CK classics, embodying the campaign's theme of day to evening — finding beauty in simplicity.”
This isn’t the first time NewJeans has been dressed by the iconic American fashion brand. In June, the members all wore denim looks from Calvin Klein for their Bunnies Camp 2024 fan meeting at the iconic Tokyo Dome stadium. The custom pieces were covered in the CK monogram and crystals.
Calvin Klein has had a star-studded roll of campaigns recently. Last month, Calvin Klein just unveiled campaigns featuring SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu. Earlier this month, ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo starred in another of the brand’s campaigns, featuring designs from both its Fall 2024 menswear collection as well as new line of elevated essentials Calvin Klein Studio.
NewJeans has similarly had impressive momentum in the world of fashion. Last week, Hanni traveled all the way from Seoul, South Korea, to Italy for Milan Fashion Week as a brand ambassador for both Gucci and Gucci Beauty. And even though she wasn’t in the city for New York Fashion Week, her presence was still felt thanks to UGG’s pop-up event to celebrate the unveiling of her billboard campaign for the shoe brand. In July, Danielle attended the grand opening of Celine’s new store in Osaka, Japan, as a brand ambassador.
