Victoria Beckham’s spring/summer 2023 dresses were made for women who like to stand out from the crowd. It’s no surprise, then, that red-carpet risk-taker Florence Pugh wore one of VB’s slinky new-season slips on the red carpet at the Governors Awards over the weekend.
The actor’s stylist, Rebecca Corbin-Murray, picked look 17 for Florence to wear on the night: an ethereal deconstructed slip dress with embellished sheer panels and gold fringing.
Corbin-Murray upped the goddess-like appeal of the look with a suite of Tiffany & Co. jewelry, including a statement tassel necklace that complemented the fringing on the dress.
This season marked Victoria Beckham’s Paris Fashion Week debut. The designer told British Vogue that she was “really excited” about the dresses in the collection, which she described as “very sexy and very feminine.”
Florence’s dress is a prime example of the flattering bias-cut silhouette that VB experimented with. “We’re not burying ourselves under lots of layers. I think it’s a neater silhouette,” she explained.
