Another Met Gala regular has arrived on the 2026 red carpet! Gigi Hadid stepped out wearing a simple yet, gorgeous look.
A Miu Miu ambassador, Hadid wore a fully sheer black dress with satin underwear showing underneath for the “Fashion is Art” dress code and “Costume Art” theme at the gala tonight. “It’s not just to make a garment to sell, I love anything turned into a costume.” I was really inspired by Miuccia’s spring-summer ‘98 collection," Hadid said in her red carpet interview. The dress also had flame patches inspired by the brand’s 2011 collection and Hadid actually had a say in how they came to life. “I laid the patches where I felt made my body feel great,” she said.
As for glam, she went for a simple vibe to complete the look. She wore her honey blonde hair styled down with a big wave. It was the perfect choice for her no eyeliner makeup look, which she called, “romance night in the garden.” She wore light pink on her cheeks and mauve lipstick.
In past years, Hadid has been dedicated to the Met Gala dress codes. Last year, she also wore Miu Miu, going for a sparkly halter gown dress inspired by Zelda Wynn Valdes, complete with pinned curls. In 2024, she wore a Thom Browne gown with a blazer embedded in the skirt, symbolizing the “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” theme. Honoring Karl Lagerfeld in 2023, she wore a sheer black gown with a corseted bodice and low-waist skirt for a peekaboo effect. Matching gloves and pearl jewelry were a nod to the late designer’s style. And, those are just a few of her latest looks. The model has been attending since her debut in 2015, when she wore a red Diane von Furstenberg dress embroidered with rhinestones in the shape of flower petals.
So, Hadid’s look tonight is a fitting addition to the robust portfolio of Met Gala looks she’s worn over the years.
