There's something about summer makeup that just hits differently, and Gigi Hadid is clearly enjoying the phenomenon, too. Over the weekend, the model posted a pic to her Instagram after experimenting to create her own “perfect” fantasy shade of what she's dubbed “summer kiss blush.”
In the post, Gigi Hadid can be seen posing outside in blazing sunshine next to a pool. In the photo, she wears her newly cropped bob loose, slightly damp, and sun-dried, allowing her natural texture to do its thing.

Hadid matched the hairdo with an equally casual but covetable makeup look. Her skin looked fresh and naturally bronzed, her eyes appeared makeup-free, her brows were brushed into place, and she wore a glossy lip, but her cheeks were where all the action was happening.
Hadid looked like she had the perfect blend of pink, peach, and bronzy tones to create a hazy, sunkissed summer-worthy flush. And she shared that she'd actually blended three shades to create just that. “Just add Sunkisser 🌞 @maybelline's perfect summer-kiss blush 🌅,” the model wrote under the post – which she tagged as a paid partnership with the brand.
Even so, the shade and sheer, skin-like finish look gorgeous, so we're interested to know the details. “I used blazing blush [a true baby pink] / city sizzle [a coral-y peach] and electric bronze [a golden bronze] today," she shared of the high street blush – which usually sells for just under $12.
As for application, as seen above, Gigi remixed the sunset blush trend, blending dots of two blush shades with a bronzer to get a warmer blush finish. Given the fluffy brush, we can see in slide three of her Insta dump, we're guessing she blended it across her cheeks and then up toward her temples to give it a more buffed-out, natural finish. So, for the perfect summer blush shade, Gigi Hadid appears to have hers sorted.
