Guys. Can we just, for a second? _Pitch Perfect 2 _ has already been a relatively life-changing revelation, because obviously (or for the shamefully uninitiated, because the first movie was hilarious and charming and amazing and already a cult fave), but also because we got confirmation last week that the whole original cast is coming back for round two.
And then today (about an hour ago, to be exact), our beloved former cover girl Hailee Steinfeld threw the world's most glorious curveball: She'll be joining the team! And according to her announcement on Instagram, below, she's extremely excited. As are we. In case you couldn't tell.
From our insider intel (read: Facebook stalking), we've deduced that Hailee will be one of the Barden Bellas, meaning she'll be showing off her pipes alongside Anna Kendrick and co. We didn't know Hailee could sing, but we're kind of not surprised, because that girl can do anything. Not to mention the fact that she's friends with Taylor Swift, so she's got a top-notch vocal coach built right in.
All we want to know now is where's our part in this flick? Don't they need, like, eager reporters or something? A walk-on role? Even just pizza delivery? We're really good at pizza delivery. Just saying.
