Hailey Bieber is not one to miss out on trends, especially a food-inspired one. Last summer, she most notably popularized the glazed donut manicure with her nail artist, Zola Ganzorigt. She even gave the look a spin with her cherry nails. In the makeup department this year, she declared it a strawberry girl summer, showcasing a flushed, freckled look and even went on to drop a strawberry-flavored collaboration between her beauty brand, rhode, and donut company Krispy Kreme.
Now that fall has arrived, Hailey Bieber is hopping on a new trend: the mocha monochrome movement. The model was pictured during the spring-summer 2024 season of Paris Fashion Week wearing the deep brown hue from head to toe. She wore pointed-toe heels, tights, and a scoop-neck bodycon dress, all in the same shade, which is perfect for fall. Bieber kept the accessories simple, only opting for thin hoop earrings, a couple of rings, and an anklet, which let the rich mocha speak for itself.
Bieber showed her dedication to the trend by even implementing it into her glam. Her brown hair was tied into a high ponytail with a few strands loose to frame her face. She wore tortoise shell pattern nails in a hot cocoa brown hue. Her makeup followed the same color theme. She swapped the traditional black smokey eye for a golden brown look, similar to the latte makeup look she tried out earlier this year. On the lips, she wore a dark brown gloss — which we have a hunch might be her new rhode Peptide Lip Tint in “Espresso," given that she was en route to its launch event when these pics were snapped.
The mocha monochrome trend seems to be popular among celebrities as Bieber is just the latest to sport this look. Earlier this month, BLACKPINK’s Rosé wore it to celebrate Rimowa at New York Fashion Week. Millie Bobby Brown was also spotted wearing it while doing press in London.
As we go deeper into fall, it’s likely we’ll see more and more mocha-inspired looks. In the meantime, we’ll be sipping on our mochas and adding Bieber’s look to our fall mood boards.
