Earlier this January, Hailey Bieber officially declared yellow as the color of the month, transporting us straight to beach vibes and sunny skies. Little did we know that this was all part of the plan to launch rhode's first-ever cleanser, Pineapple Refresh, which strives to get rid of skin care's beloved double cleansing method as a once-and-done alternative.
We all know Hailey Bieber frequents the fruit aisle when it comes to beauty (see the "strawberry girl summer," her viral cherry nail manicure, or her Sugar Plum Fairy-inspired makeup look). Now, we can add pineapples to the mix of tropical goodness. Today, January 17, rhode announced the launch of the first-ever cleanser, Pineapple Refresh, as a "new daily cleansing experience designed with a unique texture." Alongside the launch, the brand released a tropical escape campaign featuring its founder, Hailey Rhode Bieber, with Ajok Daing, Candice Swanepoel, and Bianca Blakeney.
The cleanser has been years in the making, and the aim was to create a "gentle daily cleanser with a lush, sensorial texture" that can rinse away all impurities without drying out skin, leaving it feeling fresh.
While the cleanser officially launches on January 25, the brand sent samples to selected beauty users globally to test it out before the launch. Easy to use, the cleanser is applied to wet hands, rubbed together, and applied to the face before rinsing thoroughly. There is a noticeable softness to the skin post-rinse. The best part? After you pat your face dry after usage, there is no sign of dried-out skin that you sometimes get from other stripping cleansers. Whether you want to forgo double-cleansing like Hailey Bieber does in her demonstration video or just use it as an option for one of your cleanses, it's up to you!

As far as the cleanser's key ingredients, there are three: Polyglutamic Acid, Green tea extract, and Pineapple enzymes, each with their own skin-rejuvenating qualities, of course. Notably, the Pineapple enzyme ingredient is what gives the cleanser its natural exfoliant powers, which will leave skin looking smooth without disrupting the skin barrier. All in all, the brand boasts that the cleanser is both gentle enough for daily use and safe for sensitive skin.
The Pineapple Cleanser is the perfect addition to rhode's current product roster and brings us one step closer to an all-rhode routine. First comes this cleanser, followed by rhode's Glazing Milk, Peptide Glazing Fluid, Barrier Restore Cream, and finally, the Peptide Lip Treatment — an excellent nighttime routine that could be easily adapted for the day with the addition of a good SPF.
Whether you are chasing radiance, need a mini face retreat, or just want to try out the latest fruity offering, the rhode Pineapple Refresh cleanser will set you back $28 for five fl. oz. (that's 150 ml.) and will be available from January 25 at rhodeskin.com.
