If you haven’t heard by now, the internet has a new coffee-inspired obsession. Latte makeup is the latest phrase to describe bronzy brown makeup and plays into the current trend cycle’s love for all things neutral. Usually consisting of a warm chocolate smoky eye with a tanned and toasty base, Hailey Bieber took the trend one step further by applying the latte spirit to her entire look. “Latte makeup but make it head to toe,” she captioned an Instagram selfie wearing golden shades of beige to match her sun-kissed makeup.
Hailey looked radiant wearing a ruched cut-out dress with a signature pair of chunky gold earrings and a Saint Laurent raffia shoulder bag. With her slicked-back bun, Hailey captured the perfect late summer look. Think clean girl make-up after a hot and sunny vacation. Luckily for us, Hailey refused to gatekeep and shared a make-up tutorial to her personal TikTok account.

As the founder of skincare line rhode, it’s only right that hydration was the foundation of her makeup. After applying some rhode skin care, Hailey used a brush to underpaint bronzer around her forehead and cheekbones before going in with some concealer. Less is more, so she opted for lighter coverage by applying concealer to only her inner and outer eye for some lift, her temples, under her cheekbones and the centre of her forehead. For extra glow, Hailey mixed a Hourglass Veil Hydrating Skin Tint with moisturizer to buff her base together.
There is no such thing as too much bronze, so Hailey added some more color using Tom Ford’s Shade and Illuminate Contour Duo palette across her nose and cheeks and blended a generous dusting of brown shadow across her eyelids for definition. After a light coating of mascara, Hailey finished her latte eye with a warm-toned brown liner on the lower lash line before lightly baking with some powder and adding a sunny blush to the cheeks.
Hailey’s lip look required an interesting hack. On top of her mauve lip liner, Hailey patted a chocolate contour shade across her upper lip before topping with some clear gloss. It was a simple yet iconic look for the summer. We can’t wait to recreate it.
