If you were a fan of Nicole Richie and Joel Madden in the ‘00s, you might want to take a seat for this one because seeing their teenage children will transport you right back in time.
On Tuesday, April 2, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden attended the premiere of Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead in Los Angeles, joined by their daughter Harlow, 16, and son Sparrow, 14, who are the spitting image of their parents now that they are in their teens.
In case you need someone to jog your memory, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden tied the knot back in 2010 after dating for four years. The couple welcomed their first child together, Harlow, in 2008, and Sparrow in 2009.
Over the years, we have gotten very few pics of the Madden siblings, aside from the odd paparazzi shot and social media post, but that all changed this week. Arriving at The Grove for the premiere of Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, Harlow looked just like her mom, with big doll eyes and honey-blonde hair.
Sparrow, on the other hand, seems to take after his dad. If it weren't for his curly hair, you could have fooled us and told us this was a pic of Joel Madden (or his twin brother Benji) from their pre-Good Charlotte days.
Prior to this premiere, we had only gotten a glimpse at the teenagers’ faces via odd social media posts posted by Nicole Richie, but getting to see the four standing side by side really makes the resemblance pop off.
Harlow and Sparrow have officially joined the list of celeb kids who are their parents’ doppelgängers, joining the likes of Reese Witherspoon and Ava Phillippe, Jennifer Garner and her daughter Violet, and Carrie Fisher and daughter Billie Lourd. Will the resemblance get even more uncanny as time goes by? We’ll surely keep an eye out.
