In light of COVID-19, we’re checking in on our favorite celebrities in My Self-Quarantined Life, a series on what their daily lives look like while social distancing.
"In quarantine, I think a lot of us put pressure on ourselves to be really productive and use all of the time wisely," signer and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star Olivia Rodrigo says. "For me, it has been helpful to remind myself that as long as I am staying safe and indoors, I am doing enough. No need for all that stress."
While social distancing the 17-year-old has been making music, singing for followers, and doing impromptu photoshoots with her mom. She's encouraged by everyone doing their part to quell the spread of the disease, but still misses her crew of friends and co-workers on the Disney+ show. In fact, reuniting with her HSMTMTS family is something she's done while at home.
"I learned how much my friends lift me up in quarantine," Olivia says. "Sometimes you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone and being away from them has really made me realize how much I value their presence in my life. I can’t wait to give all my friends a big hug! I’m also so excited to go to the beach."
10:00 AM — Breakfast/School
I start out my day by eating a little breakfast and getting started on my school work.
12:45 PM — HSMTMTS Zoom
Group zoom with the HSMTMTS cast! It’s always so great seeing all their lovely faces and we try to connect at least weekly. Miss them a ton.
3:00 PM — Music
I always make time in my day to play a little music. I’ve been writing a ton of songs in quarantine. I like to call them my quaran-tunes.
6:00 PM — Run
In the afternoon I went on a run and did an ab workout to help release some energy. I am a terrible runner but it’s the thought that counts.
9:00 PM — TV
I’ve been streaming a lot of television and movies while in quarantine. New Girl always makes me laugh and puts me in a good mood.
10:30 PM — Reading
I try to read every night before I go to bed. Right now I’m reading this book of poetry by Rudy Francisco called “Helium.”
