Hope Walz, daughter of Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz and newly anointed Gen Z icon is asking followers to get out and vote — and she used her look to do it. In an Instagram post on Election Day (her first one since going public on the platform), Hope posed in front of a giant VOTE sign. In the image, she’s wearing a cream sweater with a giant American flag in the center. She paired it with wide-leg leopard print jeans and a choker.
In the caption, she wrote, “your vote is your voice, and your voice in your power.” In the second slide, she posted a photo of the sign: “when we vote, we win.” I think we can all do the math on the message there.
Hope recently joined in on the TikTok trend in which young women post about canceling their dad's vote for Donald Trump. Of course, she doesn’t have to do that because, as she points out, her dad is running on a very different platform than the former President.
Yesterday, another daughter of the Democratic ticket posted their voting intentions on Instagram. Ella Emhoff, stepdaughter of VP Kamala Harris, posted her feelings on the importance of Election Day with a knit American flag… I'm sensing a theme here.
