Before Olivia Rodrigo sets out to spill her GUTS across the globe on her world tour, she'll be giving fans a taste in Los Angeles. Tonight, October 9, Rodrigo will headline a one-night-only exclusive event titled An Evening With Olivia Rodrigo in partnership with American Express.
The surprise show, which will be held at the Theatre at the Ace Hotel in L.A., was announced just a day before on Sunday, October 8. Per Vulture, the singer-songwriter will perform only a selection of the GUTS tracklist, not all 12 songs. (No word yet on whether she'll perform any of her four hidden tracks that are rumored to be included on the deluxe.)
The “intimate” set is only accessible to American Express cardholders — a perk of AmEx's Member Week — and will be an immersive experience designed in a similar vein to the GUTS Gallery, which was another collaboration between Rodrigo and the company.
According to AmEx, there will be a “Bad Idea Right?" themed photo opportunity, free Midori Matcha, and a taco stand outside of the 1,600 seat venue; all ticket proceeds will go towards Rodrigo's recently-launched nonprofit Fund 4 Good, which supports organizations "that champion girls’ education, support reproductive rights and prevent gender-based violence.” Tickets were on sale starting at $25 and (unsurprisingly) sold out within hours on October 8.
“I’ve been excited by the response to GUTS and I can’t wait to perform live for my fans,” Olivia Rodrigo said in the concert's press release. “Partnering with American Express for my GUTS world tour, the GUTS Gallery pop-up experiences, and now this intimate performance for my fans means so much."
For those who weren't able to snag tickets to this L.A.-based event or any of the world tour dates, there's some good news: courtesy of AmEx, the entire concert will be made available to stream on Rodrigo's YouTube channel starting Tuesday, October 10 at 8 p.m. ET through Thursday, October 12. “Livies around the world can get a sneak preview of what’s to come on tour!” Rodrigo said about the stream in the release. Billboard reports that the stream will also share “stories behind each GUTS song.”
Last month, Rodrigo added 18 new dates to the GUTS World Tour, starting out in Palm Springs and ending in Los Angeles. (You can find all dates and everything you need to know about the tour here.) On select stops, she'll be joined by The Breeders, PinkPantheress, Chappell Roan, and Remi Wolf. “I cannot express how excited I am to embark on this new chapter of my life with you guys," Rodrigo wrote at the time in her tour announcement.
