Hunter Schafer has made her way to the Met Gala 2026 red carpet in an extra-special look. For the “Fashion Is Art” dress code, in line with the museum’s new exhibition “Costume Art,” the star wore a dreamlike outfit.
Dressed by Prada, Schafer wore a light blue gown with cut-outs revealing floral prints and appliques for the Gala. She completed the look with a matching bow. She opted for minimal jewelry, letting the clothing speak for itself.
For glam, Schafer wore her signature bright blonde hair in a deep side part; in a surprise twist, she had spots of blue in her hair to match the dress. She wore bright pink blush on her glowy skin, contrasting minimalistic eye makeup, which was completed with just a swipe of blue eye shadow. As a final touch, she wore a soft, bright pink lipstick.
Schafer’s Met Gala appearance coincides perfectly with the latest season of Euphoria, currently airing on HBO. For the season-three premiere red carpet last month, she wore a Roberto Cavalli slip dress covered in sparkly sequins in the shape of a spine, which would also have been fitting for the Met Gala 2026 theme.
Over the weekend, Schafer was spotted in New York City attending Teyana Taylor’s pre-Met party, giving fans a indication that she was planning to attend the Met Gala again this year. She dressed for the party in an LBD, the classic style adorned by two white ribbons, one perfectly lining up with the leg slit.
With those stunning looks leading up to her Met Gala appearance, we had a feeling we were in for a treat tonight, and she did not disappoint. And if Hunter Schafer taught us anything last year, it's that her after-party look will also be one to keep an eye out for tonight as the red carpet rolls up and the celebs step out in the city.
