Instagram Stories has become almost more popular than the newsfeed itself — according to new stats from the platform, 400 million people use the feature daily to post videos, polls, and GIFs that disappear in 24 hours. Now, the Facebook-owned app is adding yet another crucial feature to Instagram Stories: music.

Instead of rewinding Spotify or Apple Music to correlate perfectly with your video, you can just add it in at the last minute without any stress. Starting Thursday, you can use the music sticker on Instagram Stories to search for a specific song, or browse by mood, genre, or what's popular. When you've selected the perfect soundtrack to your post, you can fast-forward and rewind through the track to choose the exact part that fits your story. When friends see your Story, the song will play automatically, and they'll also see a tappable sticker with the song title and artist name.

Music has always been a huge part of the Instagram community; according to the company, more than 45% of users follow a verified music account, and three out the top five most-followed accounts on Instagram are musicians. And Instagram has been seriously upgrading Stories over the past year. The company most recently introduced a new sliding scale poll system that lets users vote via emoji, added the ability to share other people's posts easily, and updated different kinds of fonts and text options. In the beginning of May, Instagram announced an integration with Spotify that allowed an easy way to post what music users are listening to without screenshots, but it's unclear if the new update will be integrated with the streaming service or another music company.

What is clear is that, especially now that there is an option to upload multiple photos and videos to Stories at one time, it's getting easier and easier to get the most perfect Story ever — even if it does only last 24 hours (well, before it goes on your Highlights).
