Well, yes, Blue Ivy Carter did go to Met Gala 2026, making her official debut at the storied event at just 14 years old. On the Met Gala red carpet, Blue Ivy wore a stunning monochromatic gown and matching jacket, posing with mom Beyoncé and dad Jay-Z.
“It feels surreal because my daughter is here,” Beyoncé said on the Vogue livestream. “It's incredible to share it with her,” she added, sounding on the verge of tears.

It is not uncommon for Blue Ivy to show up alongside her mom for major occasions. The duo has done Cécred events, the Grammys, and more together. As we noted last year, if Blue Ivy is to attend the Met Gala before 2030, when she turns 18, she would most likely need to do so with one of her parents.
Last year, both Blue and Beyoncé were embarking on the latter’s Cowboy Carter tour as the Met Gala was taking place, so the stars did not align for them to attend fashion's biggest night. The mother and daughter could surprise everyone in 2026 with one of their joint slays, though there’s also a chance that Blue Ivy will wait a bit longer until her time comes.
