Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice! Jenna Ortega is gearing up for the release of her forthcoming film, the aptly titled Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and she's already begun on-theme dressing in celebration. For a recent press day in Mexico City to promote the film, which hits theaters on September 6, Ortega wore a very Beetlejuice-esque black and white striped jacket with a pair of distressed, light-wash GAP jeans.

Let's start with the jacket, which Beetlejuice himself would definitely approve of. Ortega's blazer was a slightly cropped style with bold shoulder pads and she wore it over a cropped black tube top.

Instead of wearing matching striped pants, she opted for GAP's High Rise Barrel Jeans in a light indigo wash; the jeans have a loose, slouchy fit with strategic distressed details at the hips and ripped knees, and they retail for $79.95.

Ortega cuffed her denim to show off her reflective silver stiletto heels. Her black hair was styled in soft, loose waves. The outfit formula is a never-fail, timeless classic: a great jacket and effortlessly cool denim, plus a heel.

In the film, Ortega plays Astrid, the daughter of Winona Ryder's Lydia Deetz. The Deetz family is reunited with the titular character, played once again by Michael Keaton, and spooky hijinks occur.

We're looking forward to seeing the much-anticipated sequel, the next chapter of the 1988 Tim Burton film, but we're really looking forward to seeing what Ortega wears on the red carpet to promote the movie. Will she stick to the goth glamour, like the nude and black tulle Vivienne Westwood gown she wore to the Mexico City premiere? Will she slip in a few sly nods to Wednesday Addams? Will she pay homage to Lydia Deetz's iconic red dress? We'll be keeping a very close eye on the actor over the next few weeks.
