The Sims 4 is getting ready for Halloween and dropping a new trailer for the forthcoming Life and Death expansion pack, complete with an Easter egg from Netflix's Wednesday.
On October 3, the official Sims announced the new expansion pack. “This All Hallows Eve, we invite you to uncover the secret to a fuller Sim life and explore what lies beyond with The Sims 4 Life & Death Expansion Pack. Venture into the haunting realm of Ravenwood, where three distinct neighborhoods await exploration, each with its own connection to the shadowy passage between life and what's next. Your Sims will have the chance to craft a Bucket List, resolve lingering Unfinished Business in the afterlife, wield new Ghostly Powers to unleash mayhem, kindness, or something in between, and even undergo a Rebirth,” the official description for the expansion pack reads.
The announcement arrived with a three-minute trailer for the new expansion pack, which will arrive on October 31, teasing new outfits, new settings, and a very familiar dance.

As noted by X user @melonboi_, the Life and Death expansion pack seemingly hides a reference to the infamous viral dance performed by Jenna Ortega in season one of Netflix's Wednesday, which was recreated by everyone from North West to Lady Gaga.

@melonboi_ put the two scenes side by side, and it sure looks like the Sims 4 producers got a bit of inspo from Jenna Ortega's viral dance, which she famously choreographed in just two days and filmed while unknowingly having COVID. The arm flapping and the twists seem to be a 1:1 match.
While we certainly did not anticipate this Sims 4 x Wednesday crossover, it makes all the sense for the game creators, who have consistently been at the forefront of pop culture, to tap into the Netflix phenomenon as Halloween approaches. Now we are left wondering if The Sims have any intel on Wednesday season 2…
