Kesha is not the only artist changing the lyrics of her songs to avoid mentioning P. Diddy; it looks like Joe Jonas has also caught on to the trend.
It seems like Joe Jonas, who's currently on tour with the Jonas Brothers around Europe, has also given “Cake By The Ocean” a little revamp in light of new accusations against P. Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs.
As captured by concertgoers, Jonas decided to swap Diddy's name while performing DNCE's “Cake by the Ocean” at a recent show in Paris's LDLC Arena, which took place on September 28, 2024.
The song's original lyrics for the song go: “Walk for me, baby / I'll be Diddy, you'll be Naomi, woah-oh,” in reference to Combs and supermodel Naomi Campbell, who briefly dated in the ‘00s.
However, on stage, Jonas replaced Diddy’s name with another name drop. While it's hard to make out what exactly the new line is, fans are theorizing it could be another name or another line completely.

Judging by other fan footage from previous concerts on the same tour, it looks like Jonas only recently made the lyric change. Videos circulating from London shows and Barcelona shows show him still clearly singing or mouthing “Diddy" while onstage.
While we wait to get confirmation on what the lyric change is for good as the Jonas Brothers continue their Europe tour well into October, you can see a complete timeline of allegations against P. Diddy here.
