What has JoJo Siwa said about Dakayla Wilson?

As reported by People, speaking at a panel during Rhode Island Comic Con on November 1, Siwa opened up about her relationship with Wilson, including their decision to go public so early on.

"My mom always used to tell me, 'The whole world doesn't need to know everything, JoJo. You can keep some things a secret.' And I was like, 'Yeah, yeah, totally." [But] secrets are hard to keep. It's so hard to keep. When you're so excited about something ... I was kind of born to share my life with the world, and I'm OK with that and I enjoy that," Siwa said.

Siwa went on to say that though her first relationships since coming out were "cute," she struggled with public perception after going through a bad, public breakup. "After it ended, it was really not the best. And it just scared me from sharing relationships publicly," she confessed. "It wasn't anything that really the world did. It was more what went on between the two of us … so then, I pledged to myself that I wasn't going to share a relationship anymore."

Siwa continued saying she was "in one serious relationship" and had "two flings" without the public knowing, but once she started dating Wilson, she needed the world to know.

"Just around three months ago, I got into a relationship with an incredible girl, and it's been interesting," she added. “I was OK to go public with her. She feels special, and we're in a very comfortable place. I've never really been in this place that I'm at with her in a relationship before … We're both still figuring life out, and I think I accepted that. I've accepted we're both figuring life out. We're not perfect, but we have fun. I love the girl. She loves me, and we're having a good time.”

Speaking to Us Weekly in the past, Siwa also admitted both she and Wilson are "on board" with having children together, but they are not in a rush. "Obviously, we're both very young and she's even younger than I am," Siwa said. "I always bring up the Freddy, Eddy, and Teddy conversation right away in a relationship. She was always like, 'Oh, yeah, kids are going to be so fun to have.' That was when we were first talking, and now obviously that we're more serious, it is definitely a more serious conversation [but] I'm like, 'We'll get married, and then we'll visit that.'"
