Manon Bannerman of KATSEYE might have just found the perfect response to debunk dating rumors. In case you missed it, after the 2025 VMAs, where KATSEYE took home the Moon Person for Push Performance of the Year, Manon was spotted alongside The Kid Laroi in Manhattan en route to Sabrina Carpenter's after-party.
Manon and The Kid Laroi were photographed together walking side by side in Manhattan, and the picture quickly went viral on social media, sparking speculation about the nature of the stars' relationship, especially since The Kid Laroi confirmed his breakup from Tate McRae earlier this summer.
While many pointed out that Manon and Laroi walking together means nothing romantically, and even pointed out that the duo have mutual friends, like Manon's bestie Sophie, and have been seen hanging out with each other as recently as last month during a recent Tokyo trip; others immediately speculated the duo's relationship could be more than just friendship.
However, Manon quickly shut down any romantic discourse once and for all, taking to her Weverse to share a message for fans. While recounting her experience at the VMAs and after sharing she was starstruck to meet Ariana Grande, Manon took the chance to clear the air about the speculation surrounding her and The Kid Laroi based on their recent sighting.
“[Apparently] I date everyone I walk next to,” Manon succinctly commented, seemingly referring to the viral photo of her and the Australian singer. Manon then followed up her comment attaching a job application form to her messages. Short but concise.

While Manon's comment seems clearly directed towards this incident, her sentiment is not isolated, as this is not the first time (and likely won't be the last one) that she has been romantically linked to other people simply by being in proximity to them.
Though KATSEYE do share a lot with fans, the members are rightfully more guarded about their personal relationships and friendships and this serves as a reminder to respect their boundaries and wait for their confirmation before speculating.
