Keke Palmer is a motha, and she's proud as hell about it. The multi-hyphenate appeared at Broccoli City Fest on Sunday, July 16 and took the chance to shout out her new motherhood by giving her 2018 track "Bossy" a not-so-subtle lyric change.

Taking the stage at Washington, D.C.'s RFK Stadium, Keke Palmer changed one of the key lyrics of "Bossy" to proudly shout out her son and status as a mother. "Lil booties matter, my son gave me some ass," she rapped in the revised version, which many captured and shared via social media"I'm my own boss and I got my own cash/ I don't need a *****, only thing I need's a bag," she continued, keeping the rest of the verse the same and absolutely nailing the delivery.

"Who saw my set at [Broccoli City]?? Posting more pics later, sumn light," Palmer commented on Instagram shortly after, adding the hashtag #NewEra to her post.

The timing for Palmer's revised lyric could not have been more perfect. The star recently made headlines after Darius Jackson, with whom she shares her infant son Leodis, publicly shamed her on Twitter for wearing a stunning sheer outfit to attend Usher's residency concert in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jackson's words bemused no one on the bird app, and he shortly after deactivated his original account, also scrapping all traces of Palmer on his Instagram.

Though Palmer has not addressed the situation directly, nor should she have to, she has been dropping more than a couple of hints about her feelings in recent days. The lyric change is the latest, but she also dropped a small line of merch items that have the words "I'm a Motha" emblazoned across multiple styles.

"One thing is certain and one thing is true, IM A MOTHA, through and through!" Palmer posted, announcing the new line on her Instagram. "'IM A MOTHA' and 'Stevie to the bullsh*t' shirts available NOW! To all my mom's out there, how did your baby change you?? Mine empowered me! On such another level, my perspective changed because when my baby is good, I'm GREAT! Look at that face! Gratitude galore."

Palmer also opened up about motherhood in a recent interview with The Cut. "After having my baby, I've gotten so much more powerful," the star explained. "We're going to lean into this new body, and I think that is the whole aura of what's happening with me in this big boss era as I come into my 30s, and I have my baby boy, and I'm just continuing to spread my wings as a young woman. My headspace is just to continue to inspire and encourage myself and anybody else who wants to go down that road with me."

When asked to share her advice for new moms, Palmer also kept it short and sweet: "Do you. If there's one person on this earth that loves you for sure, it's that baby. Be happy, because there's no love like it. Somebody loving you like that, hell, who cares?" Seems like Keke Palmer is indeed practicing what she preaches, and we are here for all of it.
