Country singer Kelsea Ballerini got matching tattoos with Outer Banks actor Chase Stokes and the story behind it is heartwarming as ever. Ballerini dropped the news that she and her boyfriend got matching Virgo tattoos a few weeks ago during her appearance as a guest on the latest episode of podcast Call Her Daddy.
“We have matching tattoos so we can’t break up,” she joked before showing off a dainty Virgo tattoo on her upper arm. Ballerini shared that their choice of tattoo is an unashamed celebration of their joint zodiac sign. “I used to really resent my Virgo-ness because to me it was very control freak,” she admitted. “He’s a Virgo too, and he and I have allowed ourselves to love that part of each other.”
The couple first sparked dating rumors in late 2022 and made their relationship official back in spring. In her interview, the “If You Go Down (I'm Going Down Too)” singer revealed that their relationship first blossomed when she slid into Stoke’s DMs. “Why not? You can't put that much pressure on yourself or what may or not many not happen. You just have to be in a place with yourself where you’re open,” said Ballerini.
She went on to gush about how considerate Stokes is as a partner, calling him “the most emotionally intelligent man I’ve ever met in my life. I keep telling people that he’s a man written by a woman.”
It’s clear that romance is alive and well for Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes.
