Kelsea Ballerini is giving Ariel the Little Mermaid with her latest look. The musician appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in a sparkling, see-through crochet dress that feels like something Ariel may have worn during her first few days as a human.
Kelsea Ballerini, who is currently promoting her new album Patterns, performed on the late-night show wearing Patrizia Pepe's Jeweled Mesh Slim Fit Dress, a sleeveless tank mesh dress covered in sequin appliqué.
The dress is made of a wide, diamond-shaped knit, allowing lots of skin to peek through, and Ballerini wore it over a nude bodysuit for her performance, with the hem hitting just above her ankles.
According to the brand, the dress “enhances the sensuality of the figure with its slim fit and deep V-neck.” Ballerini styled the dress simply, given it's such a conversation starter, and wore her hair down with a bright pop of red lipstick. The Jeweled Mesh Slim Fit Dress retails for $1,105 and was part of the brand's fall-winter 2024 collection.
The glittery gown wasn't the only sparkle moment the singer enjoyed during her time in New York City. For a performance at Madison Square Garden, she donned a black sequined jumpsuit with a tie top and cutouts and tight, skinny pants, which she paired with equally sparkly Steve Madden Lizabelle Black Leather Boots, though hers were customized with rhinestones all over.
Given that the song “Patterns” references astrological, well, patterns, it makes sense that Ballerini would be leaning into super sparkly, shimmering looks that mimic the night sky. The holidays are right around the corner, and there's no better time to sparkle and shine!
