Bucket hats, button ups, mini skirts, crop tops… Kendall Jenner has been mastering '90s style as of late — and we are definitely taking notes.
Kendall's latest summertime looks are the perfect lesson on '90s trends and, if she is rocking these, it goes to show that these styles won't be going anywhere anytime soon. But embracing the '90s style isn't so much about focusing on the full look as it is about keeping things simple (and, frankly, it's too hot right now to make things complicated anyway).
If you want to become a master of ‘90s style like Kenny, the key resides in styling your quintessentially ‘90s piece of choice and letting it shine practically on its own. Whether it is an easy white tank top or maxi coats, Kendall has always nailed the ’90s off-duty model looks and this summer it's no different — all you have to do is add a breathable face mask to the mix.
Based on her three most recent outings, we've pinpointed the main '90s-inspired takeaways from Kendall's summer wardrobe. Keep reading for the fashion looks to have the ultimate socially distant summer, Kendall style.
1. Double Crops
The limit does not exist when it comes to crop tops and mini skirts. En route to sushi (yes, again!) with Hailey Bieber, Kendall wore an easy black top with a grayish skirt. She paired the look with some heeled thong sandals and a beige sweater in hand (because restaurants can get chilly!)
Kendall's 'fit might deceivingly look like a difficult, put-together look but, when broken down, it is actually achievable with only a few items that you might even already have in your closet. And if you don't, we've compiled some options below.
2. Green Queen
Does anything scream '90s more than a cropped knit button-up? Extra points if you make it slime green like Kendall's and especially with a sweet lil' mini green shoulder bag to match. Her short-sleeve cardigan is from the brand Princess Polly and has details like delicate ruffles and pearl buttons.
When paired with a simple black skirt (or shorts if you prefer), the upper half of the outfit really gets to shine. Kendall leaned in even harder with a pair of oval sunglasses, strappy heels, and gold hoops (the ones she wore are from Missoma).
3. The New Beach Hat
Sure, Kendall Jenner is the queen of tiny bikinis. But, can we also now crown her the queen of beach bucket hats? Over the weekend, Kendall paired her light yellow terry bucket hat from Lack of Color with a tropical print string bikini top from Monday Swimwear and denim cut off shorts. It's a great example of how something as easy as throwing on a hat can immediately take your look from regular beach to '90s beach babe.
