Kim Kardashian famously said: “Nobody wants to work these days,” but the beauty look her sis, Kendall Jenner, served up at the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscars party is proof that that's not entirely true.
During Oscars night, Kendall Jenner's mascara was putting in a shift to create the sultriest, flutteriest lash look with a triple-threat combo of length, definition, and volume. The model chose to wear her hair scooped back with a single strand left loose, fresh skin, gently groomed brows, and a red lip. But despite the statement lip color, we couldn't help zooming in on her immaculately voluminous lashes.
Luckily, Jenner's makeup artist, Mary Phillips, was on hand to spill the details on every product she used to create the look, including the $16 mascara responsible for that flutter. And, it should come as no surprise that Mary tapped up the new L'Oreal Paris Panorama mascara, given that Jenner is the latest global ambassador for the brand.
In a previous video on Mary's TikTok, Mary explained that Kendall's lash look is carefully curated, and she takes her mascara game very seriously. “The question I get asked the most is about Kendall's lashes – ‘what lashes is she wearing?’ – she doesn't wear [false] lashes,” Mary revealed, “it's all thanks to this guy,” she said, showing the Panorama mascara, “this is our trick.”
Phillips also let slip that mascara is the one part of her makeup that Jenner does herself, explaining: “I feel like everybody is better at doing their own lashes,” which Jenner confirmed, saying it means you can “really get in there.”
To complete the eye look, Phillips used a sheer brown eyeshadow from the L'Oreal Paris La Palette Nude to create a neutral base and the Infallible Grip liner for extra definition along her lash line.
She completed the glam with a red lip combo, layering the L'Oreal Paris Matte Resistance Lipstick colors in 245 French Kiss and 500 Wine Not on top of each other before setting everything in place with the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Setting Mist. So, take it from Kendall Jenner: drugstores have some next-level answers to red-carpet-worthy makeup.
