It's a new season, new look for Heartstopper actor Kit Connor, who just debuted a freshly buzzed head.
The actor said goodbye to his signature floppy, ‘90s-inspired cut in favor of a short, classic buzz and shared a pic on Instagram. “I kinda like it,” he captioned the pic, noting the big change. Kit Connor didn’t share a reason for the cut, but we totally get the feeling; sometimes, you're just ready for something new! Or, you know, it could be for a role that we don't know about.
We may not know the reason for Connor's new look, but we do know that he has some pretty exciting projects on the horizon — namely, starring as Romeo in a Broadway adaptation of the Shakespeare play opposite West Side Story's Rachel Zegler as Juliet, with music by Jack Antonoff. The show hits the stage this fall, so perhaps we'll see a short-haired Connor-as-Romeo when it premieres. He's also starring in an upcoming movie called Warfare, which could very well be the impetus behind the cut; however, details about the project are still under wraps.
Fans love Kit Connor's long hair and a quick scroll through TikTok is proof. There are even tutorials to get a similar look at home or at the barber, so the buzzcut will take some adjustment. Though the ‘90s teen idol-style length will probably make a comeback again, it’s fun to see one of our fave actors experimenting with a new vibe.
