Five years ago, Kylie Jenner and Jordyn Woods went through what has been probably the most public friendship breakup celebrity-dom has witnessed in decades. Now, the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan is opening up about her relationship with Woods, and it turns out the two former besties have kept in touch all along despite cutting all professional ties.

In a new feature with Interview MagazineKylie Jenner was asked about her infamous falling out with Jordyn Woods, seeing as the pair have been spotted grabbing dinner and even going shopping together in recent months.

“We always stayed in touch throughout the years, and we would meet up at my house and catch up and just talk through everything,” Jenner told her interviewer, Jennifer Lawrence, about her relationship with Woods, adding that they “never fully cut each other off.”

Since they had remained somewhat of a constant in each other’s lives for so many years, it was only a matter of time before they went back to their old ways. “One day, naturally, we were like, we want to get sushi, and we don’t want to hide anymore,” Jenner added.

“There’s a learning lesson in everything, and I think that, in a weird way, everything happens how it’s supposed to happen,” Jenner continued. “We were so attached at the hip that we needed space to grow into the people that we were supposed to be. I needed that independence and that confidence because she was like my security blanket for so long.”

If you have been keeping up with The Kardashians on Hulu, you’d know this isn’t the first time Jenner has expressed this sentiment. In a recent episode of the show, the Khy founder actually had a one-on-one with Tristan Thompson — who, in case you need a refresher, started all this drama — about the whole situation and came to the same conclusion, even revealing that she and Woods still kept in touch.

“I was so co-dependent with Jordyn that I could never have imagined my life without her,” Jenner explained to Thompson. “We would have probably still been living together. I think she needed to grow without me; I need to grow without her. But, you know, Jordyn and I are cool. We still talk and catch up. We are good.” And that's that.
