Stop the presses: Kylie Jenner has joined the dresses-over-pants trend. With the ongoing Y2K resurgence we’re seeing a slew of popular style trends have their moment in the sun. And while the early 2000s have inspired the masses, many trends are still very controversial, and dresses over jeans is one of them. This is one of the trends that some people want to forget, but fear not dress-over-pants lovers, we’ve gained a new leader in the movement, further proving our extremely valid point.
Jenner wore a black, red and white compact layered shirtdress worn over fluid viscose trousers all from Ferragamo. The 26-year-old reality television star paired the look with a black vanity leather Hug handbag from the Spring/Summer 2024 collection.
Jenner was seen all throughout Paris, France at trending runway shows this season. She even shared a roundup carousel of her best looks from the weeklong trip via Instagram. Amongst the head-to-toe Ferragamo look were other standouts from the week, like the silvery glitter-filled keyhole dress she wore to the Schiaparelli’s Fall/Winter 2024 runway show. The halter-neck dress featured a plunging scoop neckline and a literal keyhole-shaped cutout at the center of her chest. (Some might joke that Timmy C is holding onto the key to her heart?) She finished off the look with a pair of diamond-encrusted earrings with an eye pendant at the center, and some Schiaparelli signature sculpted toe pumps.
Over the years, Kylie Jenner has stolen the fashion girl title from her older sister, Kim Kardashian. We now expect Jenner to be sitting in the front row in a lavish look. (Never forget the Schiapperelli lion head.) In the last few months, we’ve seen a lot more of Jenner out and about, mostly due to the blossoming relationship she’s in with actor Timothée Chalamet. We'll be hoping to see more iconic Y2K trends from her (or maybe even the both of them) on those upcoming outings.
