Kylie Jenner is proving that her iconic King Kylie era of the 2010s is still part of her — nearly a decade later.

The reality TV star and Kylie Cosmetics founder is celebrating ten years of her makeup brand by bringing back some old favorites from the original line as part of the King Kylie collection — which references her old identifier and username.

On Saturday, October 11, Jenner teased that the line was coming via an Instagram video, which featured her walking with handcuffs in a black mini skirt and matching bra top. She wrote in the caption that she would be making the announcement on her Snapchat — very 2010s — under her username King Kylie.

The Snapchat video was a continuation of an original ad for Kylie Cosmetics and featured present-day Jenner being interrogated in some sort of prison scenario. "There's really no way out of this for you," one officer says. “We got you on multiple counts of being the baddest b*tch on Earth, slaying 24/7, just being an all-around impressive young lady.” Jenner is then released from this fake prison and walks out wearing a familiar outfit she had on in the original promo.

Jenner wore a matching snakeskin set from Roberto Cavalli's Spring/ Summer 2011 collection, which features flared pants with laces down the side, along with a coordinating bra top. In the original ad, Jenner had blonde hair and paired the outfit with a Louis Vuitton scarf on her head. The new version of Kylie showcased her signature black hair and sunglasses instead.

On her Instagram Story following the Snapchat release, Jenner wrote that she “saved this whole fit for this moment.”

After Kylie Jenner walks out of the “prison,” she gets into a Rolls-Royce with the license plate “KING KYLIE,” as her mom, Kris Jenner, drives them off.

The lengthy video is all part of Jenner bringing back her glosses, she wrote on her Instagram. “GLOSSES PART 2: KING KYLIE RETURNS! on snapchat now for the first 24 hours! (obviously). it only felt right to launch my king kylie collection with a part 2 to my video,” she wrote in the caption, before announcing the King Kylie collection would be released on October 18.

Jenner first released her Kylie Cosmetics brand in 2015 with her signature lip kits that included a matte liquid lipstick and a lip liner. The brand grew beyond just lipsticks and now includes blushes, bronzers, skincare, and more. Earlier this week, Jenner shared a carousel of photos on her Instagram, which featured an old 2022 Tweet asking fans what they would like to see if she created a King Kylie line. Fans suggested the color teal (like her signature King Kylie hair), skull packaging, Kylie shop merch, and more.
