Kylie Jenner's latest LBD is an unconventional choice for spring, but hey, when you're Kylie Jenner, you do what you want!
The reality star and Kylie Cosmetics founder gave followers a peek into her life as of late with an Instagram photo dump of snaps from family gatherings, her kids Stormi and Aire, a soak in the tub and a glimpse of a distressed and destroyed black minidress she recently rocked in a mirror selfie. The dress is a thigh-skimming micro mini with strategically placed rips and shredded details, not to mention trailing bits of yarn and fabric at the bodice, plus one worn around Kylie's neck. When you think spring fashion, you probably don't think "grunge minidress," but Kylie's look presents a compelling case for switching things up, especially when the piece in question is right off the runway.
The Instagram account kyliejennercloset reports that the dress is a customized version of a piece from the Acne Studio's Fall/Winter '23 show. It was shown on the runway in a slightly longer length and worn over matching knit leggings, and from the photos it appears that Kylie had the skirt shortened for an asymmetrical mini silhouette. Kylie wore the piece with a sleek, slicked-back bun, rose lip and a French manicure in a short, squared-off shape.
LBDs are a mainstay of Kylie's wardrobe regardless of the season. We've seen her in all kinds of black latex looks, including a skintight mini and a dress with matching shield sunglasses, plus that time she wore a black strapless gown with a literal lion head attached at the Schiaparelli show in Paris. Your wardrobe simply isn't complete without a few black dresses — it's Kylie Jenner style commandment number one!
