The 2024 VMAs Pre-Show has officially started, and K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM have kicked off the celebration with a high-octane performance.

Since traveling to the U.S. for the first time in 2023, LE SSERAFIM’s Sakura, Kim Chaewon, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, and Hong Eunchae have almost made their second home stateside, often traveling into the country to perform at famed events like Coachella and, now, the VMAs.

Much like Sabrina Carpenter last year, LE SSERAFIM made their VMAs debut during the 90-minute pre-show — hosted by Nessa, Dometi Pongo, and Kevan Kenney — before the main ceremony commenced at 8 p.m. ET.

LE SSERAFIM took to the stage clad in black and white outfits before offering an electrifying rendition of “1-800-hot-n-fun” just minutes into the official Pre-Show — then minutes before the actual ceremony began, they took the stage once more to perform “Crazy” in all black coordinating 'fits.

LE SSERAFIM’s debut VMAs performance comes following an amazing few weeks for the group. On August 30, the quintet put out their fourth studio album, Crazy, led by the title track of the same name.

“Crazy” debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 list and is on the verge of becoming a viral hit. The group has since released collaborations with PinkPantheress, David Guetta, and Dashaun Wesley. “Crazy” is LE SSERAFIM’s second track to enter the Hot 100 list after “Easy,” which came out earlier this year. Crazy, the EP, is also their third consecutive album to enter the top 10 of the Billboard 200 list after Unforgiven and Easy.

2024 is shaping up to be a big year for LE SSERAFIM, who keep racking up firsts and feats. After the VMAs, the quintet also took home their first Moon Person award ever. They were nominated for PUSH Performance of the Year for “Easy” alongside Coco Jones, Victoria Monét, Chappell Roan, and more, and are officially taking the Moon Person to Seoul.

In a statement from their shared X account, Yunjin celebrated their win, writing: “l used to watch the VMAs growing up, so even just being here tonight amongst artists we admire and who have inspired me growing up was an incredible honor. But to be awarded our very first Moon Person — middle school me would have never imagined.”

“Thank you so much to our fans, our lovely FEARNOT. It has always been you guys who have pushed us beyond our limits and shown us its rewards. Always. We know how hard you guys voted. We heard how loud you shouted our names. So let this one go out to you," she added.

Ah, also, did we mention this is their U.S. award show debut? The girls are girling and making big moves!
