LE SSERAFIM's Huh Yunjin is the latest guest on Vogue's Beauty Secrets video series and, aside from giving us all of her skin care and makeup tips, the musician also is also sharing her signature scent with us.
If you a fragrance aficionado, then you'll know how personal signature scents can be. Even influencers who make a living sharing their favorite products with everyone sometimes hesitate to share their go-to fragrances with their followers, so you can imagine our surprise when Yunjin decided to share exactly how to achieve her signature scent in her Beauty Secrets video. (By the way, she's the second LE SSERAFIM member to be featured in the series, after Sakura.)
After taking viewers through her entire morning skin care routine and her blush-heavy minimal makeup, Yunjin shared her perfume preferences to wrap up the video. “I like to use two different fragrances,” the star says in the video, proudly showing off her bottle of Diptyque's Philosykos. “I really like the smell of figs,” Yunjin explains while spraying the scent on her wrists and rubbing it on her neck. (Because her bottle has a white label, we know she uses the Eau de Toilette and not the Eau de Parfum, which is actually a little bit softer and, bonus, points, more affordable.)
Yunjin then layers Philosykos with KAYALI's Yum Pistachio Gelato, which is an Eau de Parfum intense. She follows the same procedure, a spray on the wrist first and then onto the neck. “It's like a really weird combination, figs and pistachio, but I don't know. It gives me peace."
Scent layering is not for everyone, but once you are in it, it's hard to escape. Back in 2022, Billie Eilish opened up about the divisive scent layering trend to Teen Vogue, saying: “Dude, I love layering scents. I think that's such an important thing to be able to do. It's also fun to layer any type of scent – not just perfume – but you put on a lotion that smells like this, you put on a fragrance that smells like this, you put on some sort of oil that smells like this. And so many people just don't even do it."
Clearly, Yunjin is not one of those people.
Elsewhere in the video, which you can watch in full below, Yunjin also gets candid about Korean skin care vs. American skin care, while sharing a couple of her best-saved tricks, including curling her lower lashes and ever so slightly overlining her lips to make her pout a bit more pronounced. Notes are being taken!
