Lindsay Lohan Captioned Her First Postpartum Selfie With a Mean Girls Quote

She had to.

It was bound to happen. Lindsay Lohan just shared her first selfie since giving birth to son Luai, and obviously she had to make a Mean Girls reference. (It was right there!)

"I am so proud of what this body was able to accomplish during these months of pregnancy and now, recovery," Lohan wrote alongside her first postpartum mirror selfie. "Having a baby is the greatest joy in the world!" She then went on to mention that she's partnered with Frida Mom, a pregnancy and postpartum essentials company, wearing their postpartum underwear in the pic alongside an aqua tank top.

And then came the piece de resistance, AKA a reference to Amy Poehler's iconic, oft-referenced line from the 2004 teen comedy: "Because I’m not a regular mom, I’m a postpartum mom." I mean, if she didn't do it, we would have been so disappointed — it's practically a requirement now that Lohan herself is a mother. (Frida Mom's brand account also chimed in with a reference of their own, saying, "From Parent Trap to parent, you look amazing — in our underwear of course.")

Lindsay Lohan first announced her pregnancy on Instagram in March and baby Luai officially joined the family on July 17, 2023. "The family is over the moon in love," a rep shared after Luai was born. (His father is Lohan's husband, Bader Shammas, whom she started dating in 2018 and married in 2022.) While Lohan and Shammas have yet to share photos of their newborn son, the actor did share several snapshots from her pregnancy, including the adorable beach-themed nursery she designed for their new arrival. Congrats again to the happy family and the coolest mom in town.
