Lizzo has always been eclectic when it comes to fashion but her latest look might be her most dreamy one yet. Everyone is clearly in the spirit of playing dress up at the moment and Lizzo is no exception. While on tour in Auckland, New Zealand, it was only right that the singer channel her inner elf on a visit to the Lord of the Rings Hobbiton movie set. Lizzo went full fantasy with her ‘fit wearing a monochrome turquoise ensemble custom made by Stinton Haus.
Masterminded by one of Lizzo’s go-to celebrity stylists, Reginald Reisman, the singer kept her color palette earthy and natural to match the fields and streams of Hobbiton. “House hunting,” she captioned an Instagram photo while smiling outside a hobbit hole. Lizzo looked like a Y2K goddess wearing teal cargos with a matching textured corset top and a statement stone necklace, but it’s the details that really set her look apart.

Being bold is in Lizzo’s nature, so she didn’t show up in just any cargo pants, but the most impressively embellished pair fit for a pop star. Lizzo’s pants featured tassels galore, a gem-studded belt, and touches of peacock feathers. To finish off the look, we can’t forget her trusty accessory, the recorder. “Lizzolas in her natural habitat,” she captioned an Instagram video playing the movie theme song on her recorder against a scenic backdrop.
Lizzolas is a play on the name of the main character in Lord of the Rings, Legolas. He was famously played by Orlando Bloom in the movie and clearly inspired Lizzo’s glam. Hairstylist Shelby Swain styled Lizzo’s icy blonde wig with textured waves and make-up artist Alexx Mayo used a generous amount of golden glitter highlight on Lizzo for a mystical glow, and of course, added some pointy elf ears because there is no better place to wear them.
