This may come as a shock to some makeup minds, but bread is a great source of beauty inspiration. Months after Olive Garden teased the breadstick-inspired makeup palette of my dreams and bread is having another great (or should I say grain? Sorry.) beauty moment. Thanks to Madelaine Petsch, we've now learned that my favorite food group can also serve as a hair accessory.
The Riverdale actor may have gone glam with her hair at the Emmys, but a recent vacation had her reaching for a breadstick instead of the hairspray. As she shared on Instagram Stories, Madelaine needed a hair tie in a pinch and the only thing she had was my favorite food. She captioned the moment on Instagram, writing, "Can't find a hair tie? Use a breadstick."
Based on the photograph, it would appear that the actor may have actually found a way to make bread glam. Posing for a selfie, Madelaine had tied her hair in an updo, with the front seemingly twisted around a breadstick. Wondering what updo she went with? A bun.
We're not sure how long the bread worked as a makeshift hair accessory, but Madelaine later shared a BTS selfie from a Prada event, and her hair had been placed in a braid. The breadstick might be absent from additional photos of the day, but we've got our fingers crossed that she saved the stick for a later hair emergency.
With the recent news of a ramen-inspired beauty line and the Internet's love for all things bread, we'll be keeping our fingers crossed that maybe Madelaine inspired someone out there to create a new line of food-inspired beauty products. I'll be first in line for anything garlic bread related, TBQH.
Our bread hair tie dreams might never come true, but here are some cute options we'll be rocking instead.
