The Emmy nominations came out today, creating excitement for fans and celebs alike. Like a lot of us, actress Maisie Williams found out about her “Oustanding Supporting Actress” nomination for Game of Thrones via Twitter. But she wasn’t just casually scrolling through her newsfeed – she was also simultaneously Facetiming with her mother, so her mom got to see her reaction in the actual moment.
Williams wrote on Twitter, “Jus on [Facetime] with me mum and twitter pops up telling me I’ve been nominated for an emmy. Wtfahhahhaahhelpme.” (We assume that those string of letters were code for a happy freakout.)
We can only imagine how fun it was for her mom to find out that great news at the same time as Maisie!

Maisie is nominated for her portrayal of Arya Stark, the character she has been playing for the past five years. Game of Thrones landed 23 total Emmy nominations this year, setting up for a sweep at the awards in September.
