Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have had the most tumultuous relationship to play out in the public eye since Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. In the four years that they've been together, the couple has broken up and gotten back together multiple times, including just one month after announcing their pregnancy.
Fox and MGK were apparently obsessively in love with each other at the beginning stages of their romance, even to the point of drinking one another's blood. But by 2022, the breakup rumors had begun to surface, and they haven't slowed down since.
So, here is a Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly breakup timeline, just in case you can't keep this particular will-they-or-won't-they straight.
December 10, 2024: TMZ, Us Weekly, and other outlets report that, just weeks after the pregnancy announcement, Fox and MGK have broken up again. “They broke up in late November,” said Us Weekly's source. “They were trying to make it work again after the pregnancy, but they are both too hot-headed and fell back into their constant fighting. They can’t get on the same page and it’s not easy for them being together.”
Of course, that doesn't mean they're over for good. Historically, Fox and MGK have had trouble making their breakups stick.
November 11, 2024: Fox announces that she is pregnant with her fourth child, and her first with Machine Gun Kelly.
April 2023: Sources report that Fox and MGK appear to be getting back on track. They are photographed together a couple of times, with one insider telling People, “They are slowly working on reconciling but he’s totally in the dog house still. He’s doing whatever he can to get her back, and she’s making him work for it. It’s still an unhealthy dynamic though, and their friends just don’t see this lasting.”
March 2023: Insiders speaking on behalf of the couple tell outlets like Us Weekly and People that Fox and MGK are on a break, but trying to work things out through therapy. “Their relationship is pretty volatile at the moment. They are currently off, but still texting each other.”
February 2023: The breakup rumors get real when Fox abruptly unfollows Kelly on Instagram and deletes all her pictures with him. She also added a post with a cryptic Beyoncé lyric, “You can taste the dishonesty / it’s all over your breath.”
Unnamed sources tell People that Fox has removed her engagement ring, but the marriage isn't yet officially off. “Megan is very upset. They had a fight over the weekend and Megan won’t speak to him,” the source said. “They have had issues in the past, but things seem pretty serious this time.”
According to Page Six, the blowup happened after Fox allegedly found evidence that Kelly had had an affair on his phone.
August 2022: For the first time since they got together in 2020, and engaged earlier in the year, breakup rumors begin to swirl around MGK and Fox. However, the couple denied the rumors.
