Met Gala 2025 is officially over, but we're still examining every detail of the looks, the glam, and the celebrity of it all. The red carpet may be the main event of the night, but a lot happens at the Met after the guests arrive; however, since social media is basically forbidden at the Gala, we're not privy to every single detail of the party. One thing we do know, however, is that the Met Gala is always a parade of famous exes, and the 2025 Gala was no exception.
Because so many high-profile stars are invited to the fundraiser, it's not exactly surprising that some of them may have dated in the past, whether they were involved for years or just a few weeks. Below, check out some of the famous exes who walked the legendary steps of the Met this year.
Miley Cyrus & Nick Jonas
Year they started dating: 2006
Year they broke up: 2007
The two Disney stars dated for about a year in the mid-2000s (and briefly reconnected in 2009). Cyrus was even Jonas's first kiss! Given that it's been nearly 20 years since they split, things are all good between the two these days; Jonas has been married to Priyanka Chopra since 2018, and Cyrus is currently dating Maxx Morando. Jonas even shouted out Cyrus and the rest of his Disney “class” late last year.
A$AP Rocky & Kendall Jenner

Year they broke up: 2017 (?)
Kendall Jenner and A$AP Rocky were linked way back in summer 2016, and while the model and rapper never confirmed or denied a romance, the two were spotted together for about a year, including at the 2017 Met Gala. At one point, engagement rumors even swirled around the pair! Today, of course, A$AP is happily building his family with Rihanna.
Sabrina Carpenter & Barry Keoghan

Year they broke up: 2024
Last year, Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan posed for pictures together at the Met Gala, essentially making their big red-carpet debut as a couple. This year, things were a little different — or a lot different, TBH — as the two split in late 2024. At the time, sources said that the two were just too busy and they wanted to focus on their careers.
Kendall Jenner & Bad Bunny

Kenito have a long history at the Met Gala. The two appeared together at the 2023 afterparties, basically confirming rumors of their relationship, and continued to hang out for much of the rest of the year. They even shot a Gucci campaign together! However, the two split in December of that year, though they did spark reconciliation rumors in early 2024; they were allegedly spotted getting cozy at the 2024 Met afterparty. Since then, however, it's been crickets for Kenito.
Ciara & Future

Year they broke up: 2014
Ciara and Future are another set of famous exes who walked the blue floral carpet this year. The two musicians were together for two years, welcoming their son, Future Zahir Wilburn, in 2014. However, Ciara and Future ended their engagement that year, and the musician is currently married to NFL star Russell Wilson.
Nicole Scherzinger & Lewis Hamilton
Year they started dating: 2007
Year they broke up: 2015
The F1 driver and musician/actor had a long, off-and-on relationship for eight years, starting in 2007 and ending for good in 2015. At the time, Scherzinger said she was “devastated” by the split. Hamilton has also been linked to Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, and Rihanna.
Jaden Smith & Sofia Richie Grainge

Sofia Richie and Jaden Smith were friends for a long, long time, and in 2020, some speculated that the two were taking their relationship to the next level. The two were seen showing off some PDA in September 2020, but Smith denied the rumors. "Me and Sofia have been friends for like 10 years. We've been going to the beach pretty consistently for 10 years too," he said at the time. "But, yeah, we're just homies and we love each other and it was fun."
Caleb McLaughlin & Sadie Sink (Fictionally!)
OK, so this was a fictional relationship between their characters Lucas and Max, but we're counting it! Lucas and Max started as friends, began dating, and split throughout the show, and the fate of their relationship currently hangs in the balance as Max is technically still in a coma. We'll see what happens in season five, but until then, both stars looked great at the Met Gala!
