The Most Instagrammed Places in the Northeast United States

As the summer starts to wind down (sad but true — it's already the end of July!) we're checking our summer bucket lists to make sure we can get everything crossed off before we get crushed under a pile of textbooks in September. And that means planning out the rest of our summer travel. After all, apart from those oh-so-coveted, but short, breaks during the school year, summer is the best time to get away from it all.

Escaping the day-to-day doesn't have to mean booking expensive plane tickets and hotel rooms, though — there are plenty of destinations within driving (or public transportation) distance of home. These days, though, vaca isn't just about leaving your backyard behind. If you're not getting completely off the grid, there's a good chance you're also trying to go somewhere you can show off on your Instagram. Luckily, that also doesn't require a big trip — there are Instagrammable destinations all over the country and in your state.
