It’s no surprise that out of the hundreds of designers (and thousands of looks) we saw this week that sometimes some things got a lil bit weird. We love weird! We embrace strange things! And we celebrate the eccentric! When fashion gets a little weird that’s when it gets a little bit more fun. This season, designers came out swinging with big-hitting trends. And although you might not see the smaller, micro-trends on the racks at Zara just yet, we’re guessing they will gain some traction in the next few months. They’re easy to copy (if you dare), from styling tricks to DIY pants, you can try these trends with minimal commitment.
Ahead, find the most eccentric trends we saw at New York Fashion Week this season.
Sans Pants Dance
Lucky for us, everything but the pants might just be making its way into the mainstream soon. Who needs them, anyway? We loved all of the runway looks that kept things breezy and we will love these looks especially when next summer hits. Some designers opted out of including pants altogether and instead focused on really good underwear. We’re here for it.

Pulled-Up Undies
Let your underwear peek out a little bit! It’s an easy way to add some color and texture to a look, all you need to find is the right underwear and pants combination (might we suggest some low-rise jeans and high-rise undies?). Designers R13 and Matthew Adams Dolan borrowed boxers from the boys for a punky vibe.

One-Legged Pants
Asymmetry is everything! This is where the aforementioned DIY could come into play — you can easily chop off one leg of your pants and make your own transitional piece. We can’t help but wonder if Flo-Jo’s iconic one-legged track outfits had something to do with this.
