My Life With the Walter Boys costars Noah LaLonde and Nikki Rodriguez have been sparking relationship rumors for a while. Ever since the show premiered in December 2023, fans have been curious about the actors’ romantic lives off-screen, leading to many speculating that their romance might have also extended beyond the screen. Now, LaLonde is speaking out on the speculation tied to the long-anticipated premiere of season 2 — especially after that viral TikTok.

On August 24, Rodriguez posted a TikTok of her and LaLonde doing the “All Night” challenge that involves two people attempting to pick each other up into a bridal carry with a hook-and-sweep arm maneuver. The challenge has gone viral, with friends and couples alike trying to achieve the most effortless bridal carry.

At the time of writing, Rodriguez and LaLonde's attempt at the challenge has 29.9 million views — the video has fans in a tizzy, with the comments section a frenzy of fans speculating that this video serves as their “hard launch” to publicly confirm they are dating. However, LaLonde and Rodriguez wants fans to slow down with their assumptions.

“It's funny that people are so presumptuous!” Noah LaLonde tells Teen Vogue exclusively. “I mean, we're all hanging out, ten of us [from the cast]. And [we saw] Lili Reinhart doing it with her co-star [from The Love Hypothesis]. So the first thing that came in our mind was like, 'Oh, let's do it with our co-star.' We like to have fun on TikTok.”

“We do!” Nikki Rodriguez tells Teen Vogue, agreeing wholeheartedly. “We love TikTok!”

“It's funny because you never know in the moment of creation what people are going to say except for the fact that stuff like this shows you that context is so important,” LaLonde continues. “There's eight people around us like, 'Okay, you guys should do it and we'll do this [TikTok] after, then you'll do this one after.' And just aesthetically, me and Ashby tried to do it together — it didn't work quite as well.”

“I do think it looked pretty cool. I've watched it a lot," LaLonde laughs. “Because I think the second part, which a lot of people didn't seem to have seen—”

“The second part everybody missed apparently,” Rodriguez says, laughing along with her costar. While the first half of the TikTok shows LaLonde perfectly sweeping Rodriguez off of her feet, the second half shows Rodriguez failing miserably to even get LaLonde's feet off of the ground.

“[I'm asking] people to watch the full video. Because I was so proud, I was like, ‘This is hilarious,’” LaLonde jokes.

Speaking to People earlier this week, LaLonde was also asked about speculation surrounding his personal relationship with Rodriguez, given that the two have attended multiple events together since 2023 — often with, but also often without the third point of their onscreen love triangle Ashby Gentry.

"That investment and that intensity of the on-screen, off-screen, I think it's a lot of fun," LaLonde told the outlet, adding that he is simply “over the moon that people feel that way about our show."

Lalonde continued saying that while such interest “can be overwhelming” and “shocking as a young person starting your career,” he understands speculation about the actors’ personal lives is “the first thing that happens.”

“Ultimately, I've gotten to the place where I'm really grateful that I get to be a part of that beast at least once in my life," he said. "It's a lot of fun, and you embrace it,” he continued. He also added that “it has never gotten to the point of overwhelming” for him.

"I can't look away because some of the stuff we see is crazy."

Lalonde spoke further about maintaining the balance between what he shares and what he keeps private about his personal life. "There [are] two sides to the aforementioned coin of this beast of this type of show, and I think the other side of the coin is prioritizing your own personal space, and prioritizing your routine outside of the beast," he said.

“It's all bubbling out there, but if you can separate it and have a moment alone with yourself and your loved ones… I'm so lucky to have so many outlets of that, that I don't feel that pressure very much, because I've been really grateful to have it,” he added.

For now, it’s safe to say that both Noah LaLonde and Nikki Rodriguez would rather focus the chatter on their fictional romance. Speaking to Teen Vogue about My Life With the Walter Boys season 2, which premiered on August 28 on Netflix, Lalonde teased that it will still be a contested love triangle for Jackie.

“I saw Ashby Gentry as Alex Walter on the first day [of shooting season 2], and I said, ‘Well, there goes Team Cole.’ This guy! The glow up, it’s very — he always looks great, but he's magnetic as soon as he walks off the bus in the first episode,” Lalonde shared.

“[Cole’s] is more of a mental, emotional development,” he continued. “I don't think that's as fun and exciting as the visuals of these two, so I was excited to watch their transformations and to see how people like them, because the way it manifests in the story is very interesting.”

Season 2 of My Life With the Walter Boys is now streaming on Netflix, and season 3 will be arriving in 2026, so saddle up!
