North West is proving to be quite the fashionista. Mom Kim Kardashian shared North's latest look on social media, and we can't get enough of it.
On her Instagram, Kim Kardashian posted a video of North West from their latest trip to Japan in which the 10-year-old sports extra long braids that gracefully sashay behind her as she walks. When we say extra long, it is no exaggeration. North's braided pigtails are at least double her height. Who says you can't serve Met Gala moments while on vacation?

Barbiecore continues to reign supreme as North opted for a cherry blossom blend for her extensions. Her Pinterest board-worthy braid content only gets better over on Kim and North's joint TikTok. In some paparazzi-esque snaps, North wore some geta slippers, Y2K sunnies, and a plushy backpack while her friend carried the length of her braids. Of course, North also carried a gradient fan for extra dramatic effect.
But let's go back to the length because we are honestly still flabbergasted. North's braids were so long that Kim was able to successfully play jump rope while visiting an exhibition. "Rapunzel, Rapunzel jump through my hair," they captioned the TikTok video.

They also shared a video of North and a friend racing through the exhibition with her braids trailing behind her. Although impractical, North, once again, proves that you can never do too much.

North is clearly an icon in the making. She committed to her look, all while making a street style moment. Much like athlete Sha'Carri Richardson and even North's little sister Chicago, who is also partial to some pink braids, using hair as a fashion statement is a welcomed celebration of Black hair and the versatility of braids. Don't be surprised if you start to see a rise in colorful jumbo braids for what's left of summer.
