It was only a matter of time until North West got her own magazine cover. Sure, she appeared in the pages of Vogue when she was just a baby alongside her parents, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, but in subsequent years she's become a star in her own right thanks to her creative and hilarious TikTok videos, makeup skills, and unmistakable style.
West, who is only 10 years old, can now add “cover model” to her already booming resumé, as she's the focus of i-D magazine's latest issue, complete with her first-ever interview. And what an interview it is. When asked about her plans for the future, West wasted no time sharing her goals.
“Well, when I was seven, I wanted to be a boxer. But now I don’t want to be a boxer,” she explained. “I’m going to do art on the side. When I’m, like, thirteen, I want to walk dogs, to make money to buy art supplies, because everything around here is so expensive. So a rapper, a basketball player, and I’m going to make artwork that I sell.”
Oh, and one day she wants to own her parents' brands Yeezy and SKIMS, and to own her own businesses, too. Seems like that Kris Jenner DNA is strong in her veins, and given that producers have said The Kardashians could go on until West gets married, it seems like she's more than ready for years of fame.

The interview is short, but it's packed with gems; anyone who has browsed West's TikTok videos knows she's talented and extremely witty. Basketball, art, and performing are apparently West's top three passions at the moment; she says her love of singing is mostly driven by herself, with “a little bit of my dad.” She's her own style icon, and her favorite clothing items include vintage T-shirts and the Michael Jackson jacket Kardashian gifted her for Christmas in 2019.
Despite the fact that she's been sitting in the front row at fashion shows since before she could walk, West's favorite fashion moment happened at right at home in Calabasas. “My little sister’s fashion show in her closet” takes top honors in this 10-year-old's personal hall of fame, which is extremely adorable, to say the least.
As you can imagine, it's pretty awesome to be North West. She describes her life as “blessed, awesome, cool” and says being North West is “the best ever.” West would love to live in Japan one day, and if she could be any animal, she says, “I want to be a mosquito. Because I’m allergic to them and I can tell them all to leave me alone.” Honestly… great logic.
