By now, we should all know that North West (a.k.a. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s eldest daughter) doesn’t like playing by the rules and will always find a way to swim against the current. In the past, the 10-year-old has made headlines for roasting her family’s home decor, being a ruthless fashion critic, and exposing fake niceties on socials. Now, she’s showing her full-on Robin Hood side — with a little help from her mom.

In a new interview for her GQ Man of the Year 2023 cover storyKim Kardashian revealed North West “scams” her mother’s friends in Calabasas with her own lemonade stand.

“She gets a huge pitcher and fills it, puts it in her wagon, and goes down to the corner. She has a table and chairs and fans to keep herself cool. She makes signs. She stays there [for] hours and hours,” Kim told the magazine about the homemade stand before dropping the big revelation. “If a random person stops, she will charge them only $2. If she knows you, she will fully scam you. I’ll get calls from my friends saying she charged them $20 for a lemonade.” (Hey, sounds about right to us.)

But how exactly does North West get away with selling $20 lemonade to members of Hollywood’s elite? “She’ll grab their $20 and say, ‘I don’t have any change,’” Kim explained. A clever business plan, if I do say so myself — and what’s $20 to a Calabasas resident, right? The way inflation is coming, $20 for a glass of homemade, and I’m assuming ~organic~ lemonade, seems like a typical price in any major city. Let’s be real.

But back to North West, because her Robin Hood vein doesn’t stop with the inconspicuous overcharging. Aside from essentially stealing from the rich, she also redistributes the wealth between her peers. “Her friends help, so she splits the money with them,” Kim revealed in the interview. (Though granted, if those friends also live in the neighborhood, they are also very likely rich).

Jokes aside, Kim Kardashian’s lemonade anecdote was a way to illustrate the “work ethic and business sense” that her father, Robert Kardashian, instilled in her and her sisters growing up. “My dad had me sign a contract for everything,” Kim told GQ. “When I got a car, I had to have it washed once a week, make sure that it had enough gas and that I didn’t run it into the ground. It was a gift he gave me at 16, but I had responsibilities.” With North's latest business moves and future hopes of owning Yeezy and SKIMS, seems like that business sense is in her blood.
