Olivia Rodrigo announced a new initiative in support of reproductive rights launched in tandem with her GUTS World Tour. The ‘Good 4 U’ singer said in a video posted to a fan account on TikTok, “I’m so excited tonight it’s the first night of the ‘GUTS World Tour’ and before I pop on stage, I wanted to come on here and tell you about something I’m really excited about, which is the Fund 4 Good, which is an initiative I'm launching as part of the ‘GUTS World Tour.’”
The initiative, Rodrigo said, will work to support women, girls, and people seeking reproductive health freedom. The fund will support community based non-profits and “girls’ education, support reproductive rights, and prevent gender based violence.” Rodrigo also confirmed that a portion of proceeds from ticket sales for the GUTS World Tour will go to the Fund 4 Good.
For the North American leg of the tour, Rodrigo will partner with the National Network of Abortion Funds to help those impacted by barriers to receiving reproductive healthcare. She also said fans can learn more at National Network of Abortion Funds tables, which will be at GUTS tour stops across North America.
“Thank you so much for supporting this cause that I care so deeply about,” Rodrigo said in the announcement video.
This isn’t the first time Olivia Rodrigo has championed reproductive rights. During her performance at Glastonbury in 2022, the singer surprised the audience with a duet with Lily Allen, dedicating the song ‘Fuck You’ to the US Supreme Court Justices who had recently overturned Roe v. Wade.
