Olivia Rodrigo held nothing back on night one of her worldwide GUTS tour — including encouraging her audience to scream with everything they've got.

The Disney-actor-turned-pop-superstar kicked off night one of her world tour in Palm Springs on Friday, February 23 at Acrisure Arena. Rodrigo is a Southern California native, which makes night one in Palm Springs all the more special. The Grammy-winner opened up her 95-minute, 22-song set with her hit single, “bad idea, right?” before going through every song from her sophomore album, GUTS, according to multiple reports. She also included multiple songs from her first studio album, SOUR.

When Rodrigo got to her song “all-American bitch," a rock anthem about girlhood and societal expectations of women, Rodrigo made sure the audience let out their rage. Before the song's end, when the lyrics go, “I scream inside to deal with it,” Rodrigo halts and tells the audience to get ready to scream.

“Okay here's the deal. When the lights go off, I want everyone in here to think about something or someone that really pisses you off,” Rodrigo said. “And I want you to scream your heart out. Are you ready?”

She then repeats the lyrics, “I scream inside to deal with it,” before the lights are cut and the audience begins screaming loudly. The lights come back up eventually and Rodrigo is proudly dancing and jumping around to the guitar riff.

Olivia Rodrigo's second world tour comes off of her emotional — and bloody(?) — performance at the 2024 Grammy Awards. While she didn't take home a win for any of her six nominations, GUTS has been a critical and commercial success since its release in September 2023. But Rodrigo is no stranger to Grammy wins — she has three trophies for her album SOUR.

Rodrigo's world tour will make 60 stops across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Openers and special guests will include The Breeders, Chappell Roan, Pinkpantheress, and Remi Wolf.
