Mixing prints is such a fun way to add personality to your outfit, and Olivia Rodrigo just served us a masterclass in festive dressing with a twist. The GUTS musician combined polka dots and leopard print with her signature red lips, plus a classically chic trench on top.
For a night out in New York City, Rodrigo donned a navy and white polka dot halter dress, styling the midi-length piece with white ankle socks and black patent leather Mary Jane heels from Stuart Weitzman. The leopard print came courtesy of a small Kurt Geiger shoulder bag in the ever-trending beige and black animal print, keeping with the retro ‘50s vibes of Rodrigo’s halter dress but also adding a little unexpected edge and quirkiness.
Though she's coatless in her Instagram photos, which were taken in a subway car, Rodrigo did bundle up against the NYC chill in a gray wool Burberry trench coat. The coat is a total Burberry classic, the kind of piece you can truly wear forever; it'll never go out of style and always look good, even 50 years down the road.
True to form, Rodrigo stuck with her go-to black cat-eye liner and bright red lipstick, plus short red nails. Her hair was parted in the center and styled in long, loose Old Hollywood waves.
The whole look perfectly toes the line between glamour and fun; the leopard and polka dot mix is playful, while the halter gown and red lipstick are very va va voom. The Burberry trench ties the whole thing together and keeps her warm, too. Brilliant!
