Oscars 2025 is here and ready to honor Oscar nominees from projects like Anora, Emilia Pérez, The Brutalist, and more. But which movies became Oscars 2025 winners on Sunday? Find out everything you missed from the 97th annual Academy Awards — including some great memes and moments — below.
The storied ceremony took place on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, with host Conan O'Brien. (Find out how to watch Oscars 2025 here.) Thousands flocked to the Oscars red carpet, with presenters including Rachel Zegler, Joe Alwyn, Emma Stone, Sterling K. Brown, Bowen Yang, Lily-Rose Depp, Selena Gomez, and more on the docket to give out awards.
This year's Oscars, like the Grammys, paid tribute to first responders and victims of the recent L.A. fires. “We will honor Los Angeles as the city of dreams, showcasing its beauty and resilience, as well as its role as a beacon for filmmakers and creative visionaries for over a century,” Academy CEO Bill Kramer and president Janet Yang wrote in a recent letter. During one part of the ceremony, first responders took to the stage and even read off some of O'Brien's teleprompter jokes.
